The rules for everyone using Wedding Bharat.

01 Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of weddingbharat.com and everything on it — searching for vendors, creating an account, leaving a review, using our planning tools, or listing a business. By visiting or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

If you're a vendor, using the Platform to list your business also means you're bound by our Vendor Agreement, which covers vendor-specific matters (listings, Leads, Fees, the vendor–client relationship) in detail. Where these Terms and the Vendor Agreement both address something, the Vendor Agreement's more specific vendor terms govern for vendor-side activity.

We wrote these Terms in plain language wherever the law allows it. If something here doesn't make sense, email hello@weddingbharat.com — we'd rather explain it than have you guess.

02 Definitions

"Platform," "we," "us," "our," and "Wedding Bharat" refer to the Wedding Bharat website and related tools. "You" and "User" refer to anyone using the Platform, whether searching as a couple or listed as a Vendor. "Vendor" means an independent business or individual offering wedding-related services through the Platform. "Content" means any text, photo, review, or other material submitted to or displayed on the Platform. Terms used here that are also defined in our Vendor Agreement (like "Lead" and "Services") carry the same meaning.

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a Lead. You're responsible for making sure your use of the Platform complies with any law that applies to you, including where you live or do business.

04 Your Account

You can browse and search the Platform without an account. Creating an account lets you save a wishlist across devices, leave reviews under your name, and (for vendors) manage a listing.

• Give us accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password confidential — you're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Tell us right away at hello@weddingbharat.com if you think your account has been compromised.
• You can close your account at any time by contacting us — see Section 14 for what that means for any Content or listing tied to it.

05 Using the Platform

Wedding Bharat lets you search for wedding vendors by category, city, and budget, browse real listings, save vendors to a wishlist, and contact a vendor directly — often via a WhatsApp deep-link that opens a conversation pre-filled with your inquiry. Some contact actions (like "Book Now" or our AI assistant) also create a Lead, which we may use to match you with vendors who fit what you're looking for. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what information that involves and how it's used.

The Platform is provided for personal, non-commercial use by couples searching for wedding vendors, and for legitimate business use by Vendors managing their own listing. You may not use it to build a competing directory, resell access, or scrape listings or Leads for any purpose outside the Platform itself.

06 Vendor Listings — What We Do and Don't Guarantee

We work to keep listings honest — verifying vendor businesses where we can, and building genuine reviews rather than padding numbers. But we don't provide any of the Services listed on the Platform ourselves, and Vendors are independent businesses, not our employees, agents, or partners. We don't supervise, control, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any Vendor's work.

This means: any agreement, quote, payment, cancellation, or dispute between you and a Vendor is between the two of you. Wedding Bharat is not a party to it and isn't responsible for how it goes. Choose vendors thoughtfully — read reviews, ask questions, and use the same judgment you'd use finding any service provider — the same way our own Vendor Agreement asks Vendors to treat their side of the relationship.

A "Contacted via Wedding Bharat" or similar review label reflects a real, timestamped contact event we can verify — it is not a guarantee that a booking happened or that the Service met your expectations.

07 Reviews

If you leave a review, it needs to be genuine — your own honest experience, not written on behalf of someone else, not incentivized by a Vendor, and not fabricated. We may moderate, hold for review, or remove a review that's fraudulent, a personal attack unrelated to the Service, discloses someone's private information, or comes from a confirmed conflict of interest — never simply because it's negative. Vendors have a right to reply publicly to a review, once, but may not pressure or harass you to change or remove one; if that happens, report it to us rather than engaging directly.

You can edit a review you've left, and your edit is re-reviewed the same way a new review is, per our standard moderation process.

08 Planning Tools

The Budget Planner, Quick Estimate calculator, and Planning Checklist are free tools meant to help you plan, not binding figures or a promise from us or any Vendor. Budget estimates are based on typical spend patterns for a given city and guest count — genuinely useful as a starting point, but not a quote from any specific Vendor and not guaranteed to match what you'll actually spend. The Planning Checklist and any in-progress Budget Planner draft you haven't explicitly saved are stored in your browser only (see our Cookie Policy) — they won't follow you to another device unless you save the plan to your account.

09 User Conduct

Regardless of anything else in these Terms, you may not use the Platform to:

• Provide false or misleading information about yourself or your intentions when contacting a Vendor.
• Submit fake, incentivized, or manipulated reviews, for or against any Vendor.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse any Vendor, other User, or member of our team.
• Attempt to circumvent Platform systems — including scraping, bypassing verification, or manipulating search ranking or matching.
• Use any information you get through the Platform (a Vendor's contact details, another User's information) for a purpose unrelated to your genuine wedding-planning inquiry.
• Upload Content that infringes someone else's rights, is unlawful, or violates anyone's privacy.

Violating any of the above may result in Content removal, account suspension, or termination under Section 14.

10 Intellectual Property

The Wedding Bharat name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are owned by us and protected by applicable law — these Terms don't transfer any of that to you. If you submit Content (a review, a saved plan, a profile photo as a Vendor), you keep ownership of it, and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it on the Platform for the purpose it was submitted for — showing your review on a listing, for example. This license ends when you remove the Content or close your account, except for material already published elsewhere before that point.

11 Third-Party Services & Links

Using the Platform may take you to third-party services we don't control — most commonly WhatsApp, when you contact a Vendor, and occasionally a Vendor's own website or social profile. Once you leave weddingbharat.com, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply, not ours. See our Privacy Policy for more on how this works with WhatsApp specifically.

12 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we don't guarantee that any Vendor will meet your expectations, that any budget estimate will match your actual costs, that search results are complete or error-free, or that the Platform will be available without interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of India, Wedding Bharat's total liability to you arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the greater of ₹1,000 or the total amount (if any) you've paid us in the six months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss arising from your dealings with a Vendor. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian law.

13 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Wedding Bharat against any claim, loss, or expense arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or Content you submit — the same principle our Vendor Agreement applies to Vendors specifically for their Services.

14 Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms — fraud, fake reviews, harassment, or misuse of the Platform — with notice where practical. You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@weddingbharat.com. Closing your account doesn't retroactively remove Content already published where removal would affect the integrity of the record (for example, a published review), consistent with Section 9 of our Privacy Policy on data retention.

15 Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we'd rather resolve it directly — email hello@weddingbharat.com with the issue, and we'll both make a good-faith effort to resolve it within 30 days. If that doesn't work, the courts located in Chandigarh, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law entitles you to a different forum.

16 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform changes. When we do, we'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where a change is material, make a reasonable effort to notify registered Users directly. Continuing to use the Platform after an update takes effect means you accept it.
