Vendor Agreement

The terms behind every listing on Wedding Bharat.

What we do, what you do, and exactly where the line sits between us — written so you can actually read it before you sign it.

Last updated: July 20, 2026

In short

Wedding Bharat is a marketplace that helps couples discover you and sends you real introductions (Leads) — we are not your employer, your agent, or a party to any job you take on. You run your own business: your pricing, your contracts, your licenses, your work, your relationship with every client you meet here. We provide the visibility and the introduction; everything that happens after a couple messages you is between the two of you.

01 Introduction & Purpose

Wedding Bharat is a premium marketplace that connects couples planning a wedding with independent wedding vendors — caterers, decorators, photographers, DJs, planners, and every other category of business that makes a wedding happen. We built the Platform to solve a specific problem: wedding planning in India runs on word of mouth, and word of mouth doesn't scale. We give real, verified vendors a professional profile, genuine visibility in front of couples actively searching in their city, and a direct line to those couples — without the noise of padded directories or fabricated numbers.

To be direct about what we are and aren't: Wedding Bharat is a discovery and introduction platform. We are not a wedding vendor ourselves, we don't perform any of the services listed on the Platform, and we don't employ, manage, or direct the vendors who use it. When you join as a Vendor, you're joining as an independent business that's chosen to use our tools to find clients — not entering an employment, agency, partnership, or franchise relationship with us. This Agreement explains exactly what that relationship is, what we each owe each other, and how we protect both sides of the marketplace.

We've written it the way we'd want a vendor agreement written for us — in plain language wherever the law allows it, with the reasoning included, not just the rule. If anything here doesn't make sense, email hello@weddingbharat.com before you register — we'd rather explain it than have you guess. By creating a Vendor Account, submitting a listing, or paying any Fee, you agree to this Agreement in full.

02 Definitions

"Company," "we," "us," "our"
Wedding Bharat, the operator of the Platform.
"Platform" or "Marketplace"
The Wedding Bharat website (weddingbharat.com), and any related tools, dashboards, and features we make available for discovery, listings, and vendor–client introductions.
"Vendor," "you," "your"
Any independent business or individual who creates a Vendor Account or submits a listing to offer wedding-related Services through the Platform.
"Client"
Any individual who uses the Platform to search for, discover, message, or otherwise contact a Vendor.
"Services"
The actual wedding-related goods and services a Vendor offers and delivers directly to Clients — catering, décor, photography, planning, entertainment, and every other category listed on the Platform. The Company does not provide, perform, supervise, or guarantee any Service.
"Leads"
Any introduction, inquiry, contact detail, or message the Platform delivers or facilitates between a Client and a Vendor — including WhatsApp-based introductions, "Book Now" contact events, and matched contact records shown on a Vendor's dashboard.
"Vendor Account"
The account a Vendor creates and uses to access vendor-facing tools on the Platform — managing a listing, viewing Leads, and managing Fees.
"Content"
Any text, photo, logo, pricing information, service description, review, reply, or other material submitted to or displayed through a Vendor Account.
"Fees"
Any activation fee, subscription fee, or other charge payable by a Vendor to the Company for access to the Platform or its features, as described in Section 9.
"Confidential Information"
Non-public business, technical, financial, or Client information disclosed by either party to the other in connection with this Agreement, excluding information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party.

03 Vendor Eligibility

To register and stay listed as a Vendor, you must:

We may verify any of the above before or after your listing goes live, and may decline, delay, or revoke verification if something doesn't check out. Some identity fields — currently your business name and GST number, once verified — require our review before a change takes effect, precisely so a verified listing's trust and rating history can't quietly be reassigned to a different, unverified business.

04 Vendor Account Responsibilities

Your Vendor Account is how you access the Platform, and you're responsible for it end to end:

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact hello@weddingbharat.com immediately so we can help secure it.

05 Vendor Profile & Marketing Content

You control what goes on your profile, and you're responsible for everything you put there. That includes photos, your logo, service descriptions, pricing information, and any other Content you upload.

What you're granting us

By uploading Content, you grant Wedding Bharat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and promote that Content on the Platform and in our own marketing — your listing page, search results, category pages, and promotional placements (social media, email, ads) that feature real vendors. This license exists only so we can actually show your profile to Clients and, where relevant, help you get discovered — it doesn't transfer ownership of your Content, and it ends for any given piece of Content when you remove it or close your account, except where it's already been included in material we published before that point.

What your Content must not do

Photos, logos, and pricing

Photos should be genuine representations of your own work or business — stock photography or a competitor's portfolio presented as your own is a misrepresentation and may result in listing suspension (Section 17). Pricing information you provide is shown to Clients as context, not a binding quote — you remain free to quote a Client whatever price you agree with them directly, and nothing on your Platform listing itself creates a contract between you and a Client.

Reviews on your profile

Reviews are collected and displayed under Section 11 and are not Vendor-submitted Content — you don't control their content, but you do have a right to reply publicly once per review, and to report a review you believe is fraudulent or abusive.

06 Leads & Client Connections

Our core job is facilitating introductions: when a Client searches, browses, or messages through the Platform, we connect them with Vendors who match their category, city, and other stated preferences — including automated matching that scores and delivers Leads to your dashboard, and direct click-to-chat introductions on WhatsApp.

This is important to understand clearly: receiving a Lead is an introduction, not a transaction, and never a guarantee of business. We do not guarantee any minimum number of Leads, any level of revenue, any booking, or any particular outcome from a Lead we deliver. Lead volume and quality depend on many factors outside our control — your category, your city, the season, how complete and appealing your listing is, your pricing, and how quickly and professionally you respond.

Once a Lead reaches you, you decide what to do with it: respond, decline, negotiate, or ignore it, entirely at your discretion. We do ask — and Section 8 requires — that you respond to genuine inquiries professionally and in a timely way, since a Client's experience with unresponsive vendors reflects on the trust of the whole marketplace, not just your own listing. But the decision to accept or decline any specific opportunity is always yours.

07 Vendor–Client Relationship

This is the section that defines the whole relationship, so we want to be unambiguous about it.

You are an independent business. Nothing in this Agreement, and nothing about using the Platform, makes you an employee, partner, joint venturer, franchisee, or agent of Wedding Bharat, and it doesn't make Wedding Bharat your employer, agent, representative, broker, or guarantor. We are not a party to any agreement, quote, contract, or understanding you reach with a Client.

Everything that happens after an introduction is between you and the Client. That includes, without limitation: agreeing on scope, price, and terms; entering into any contract; collecting payment; scheduling, delivering, or rescheduling the Service; handling a cancellation, refund, or complaint; and resolving any dispute that arises. Wedding Bharat is not responsible for the outcome, quality, timeliness, or legality of any Service you provide, and we don't supervise, control, direct, or approve how you perform your work.

We built the Platform to make honest introductions and to give both sides real information — verified listings, genuine reviews, a "Contacted via Wedding Bharat" signal where it applies — but the introduction is where our role ends and your business relationship with the Client begins.

08 Vendor Obligations

As a Vendor on the Platform, you agree to:

09 Payments & Fees

Using the Platform as a Vendor can involve the following, described here at a level that stays accurate as our pricing model evolves — the current live figures are always shown on our pricing page at the time you register or upgrade:

Activation fee

A small one-time fee to activate a new listing, currently ₹9.99, paid before your listing goes live. This fee reserves your spot and is verified manually before activation.

Subscription plans

After any free-access window, continued access to certain features (visibility tier, number of cities, lead-delivery priority) may require a paid subscription plan (currently marketed as Starter, Growth, and Pro). Plan pricing, features, and billing frequency are shown on the pricing page current at the time and may change — see Section 19.

How billing currently works

Wedding Bharat does not currently auto-charge a saved card or payment method. Fees are collected via a manual UPI payment that you complete and we verify — meaning nothing is charged to you without you actively completing a payment. If and when we introduce automatic recurring billing, this section will be updated in advance, and you will always be told clearly what will be charged and when before it happens.

Renewal

Because billing is currently manual, "renewal" means choosing to make another payment when your current paid period ends — we don't auto-renew you into a new charge today. If you take no action, your listing moves to the reduced-visibility state described in Section 10, not a surprise charge.

Taxes

Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for your own tax obligations arising from your business and your Services, independent of any tax treatment of Fees you pay us.

Failed or disputed payments

If a payment can't be verified or is reversed, we may pause or downgrade the associated listing until it's resolved. If you believe a charge was made in error, see our Refund Policy for how to report it.

Cancelling a subscription

You can stop future billing at any time by emailing hello@weddingbharat.com — see Section 10 and the Refund Policy for what happens to your listing and any period you've already paid for.

10 No Refund Policy for Vendor Fees

The Platform provides access to marketplace tools, visibility, and opportunities the moment your payment is verified — your listing goes live, becomes visible to Clients searching in your city, and starts being eligible for Leads. Because that access begins working immediately, activation and subscription Fees are generally non-refundable once processed, regardless of the number of Leads, inquiries, or bookings you actually receive — lead volume depends on many factors described in Section 6, most of which are outside our control and none of which change what access you were granted in exchange for the Fee.

This is the same, more detailed policy we publish for vendors making a payment — see our Refund Policy for the full terms, including the specific exception for genuine billing errors (like a duplicate charge), how to report one, and what happens to your listing if you choose to stop paying rather than a full breakdown repeated here. Where this Agreement and the Refund Policy overlap, the Refund Policy's payment-specific detail governs.

11 Reviews & Reputation System

Reviews are one of the most important trust signals on the Platform, for you and for every other vendor, so we hold them to real standards on both sides.

Where a review reflects a genuine, contacted interaction we can verify (for example, through a matched Lead), we may label it accordingly — this label describes the contact, not a guarantee the Service was completed or satisfactory.

12 Prohibited Activities

Regardless of anything else in this Agreement, you may not use the Platform to:

Violating any of the above may result in content removal, listing suspension, or termination under Section 17, in addition to any other rights or remedies available to us or to an affected party under law.

13 Privacy & Client Information

When a Client contacts you through a Lead, you receive real, personal contact information — a name, a phone number, and whatever else the Client shared. That information was given for the specific purpose of discussing their wedding with you, and we expect you to treat it that way.

Our own handling of Client and Vendor data as the Platform operator is described in our Privacy Policy.

14 Intellectual Property

The Wedding Bharat name, logo, brand, website design, software, matching and scoring technology, and all other platform technology and branding are owned by the Company and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any of that to you.

You retain ownership of the Content you upload (photos, logo, descriptions, and so on) — see Section 5 for the specific, limited license you grant us to display and promote it. You may not use Wedding Bharat's name, logo, or branding in your own marketing, business name, or materials without our prior written permission, beyond a factual, non-implied reference such as "Listed on Wedding Bharat."

15 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranty — express or implied — regarding:

We work to keep listings, reviews, and matching honest and functioning as described — but we don't control, and aren't responsible for, what any Client or Vendor does off-Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of India, the Company's total aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to this Agreement or your use of the Platform — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the total Fees you actually paid to the Company in the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Indian law.

16 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

This obligation survives termination of your Vendor Account with respect to any claim arising from the period your listing was active.

17 Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or remove a Vendor Account or listing — with notice where reasonably practicable, and without notice where we believe it's needed to protect Clients, other Vendors, or the Platform — for reasons including:

Where practical, we'll tell you what triggered the action and give you a real opportunity to respond or correct it before any permanent removal, except where the concern is fraud, safety, or a legal requirement that prevents advance notice.

Your right to leave. You may close your Vendor Account and stop using the Platform at any time by emailing hello@weddingbharat.com. Closing your account stops future Fees (see Section 9) but does not entitle you to a refund of Fees already paid, per Section 10. Sections of this Agreement that by their nature should survive closure — including Indemnification, Confidentiality, Limitation of Liability, and Dispute Resolution — continue to apply after your account is closed.

18 Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If a dispute arises between you and the Company, we'd genuinely rather resolve it directly than in court — most issues can be sorted out with a real conversation. Before either party initiates formal proceedings, we ask that you first send written notice of the dispute to hello@weddingbharat.com (and we'll do the same to you, at the contact details on your account), describing the issue and the resolution you're looking for, and both sides will make a good-faith effort to resolve it within 30 days of that notice.

If that doesn't resolve things, either party may pursue the matter through the courts, and both parties agree that the courts located in Chandigarh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement, except where applicable consumer-protection law entitles you to bring a claim in a different forum, in which case that law controls.

19 Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time — to reflect a new feature, a change to our pricing model, or a change in applicable law. When we do, we'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active Vendors directly (email or an in-account notice) before it takes effect.

Continuing to use your Vendor Account or the Platform after an updated Agreement takes effect means you accept the update. If you don't agree with a material change, you may close your account as described in Section 17 before the change takes effect.
