Vendor Refund Policy

Straightforward pricing means a straightforward refund policy.

What's refundable, what isn't, and exactly how to reach us if something's actually gone wrong.

In short

The ₹9.99 listing activation fee and every Starter, Growth, and Pro subscription payment are final and non-refundable once processed — your listing goes live and starts working the moment payment clears. The one exception is a genuine billing error on our side, like a duplicate charge — report it and we'll fix it fast. You can cancel future billing at any time; cancelling doesn't refund the period you've already paid for.

01 Purpose

This Refund Policy explains how payments work for vendors listing their business on Wedding Bharat — including the one-time listing activation fee and any Starter, Growth, or Pro subscription plan. It applies to vendors paying to be listed and matched with couples. It does not apply to couples using Wedding Bharat to search for vendors — that side of the platform is, and will stay, free.

We've written this the way we'd want it explained to us: plainly, and before you pay, not buried in fine print afterward. If anything here is unclear, email hello@weddingbharat.com before you pay and we'll walk you through it. By paying the activation fee or any subscription payment, you're agreeing to the terms below.

02 No Refund Policy

All payments made to Wedding Bharat by vendors — the ₹9.99 listing activation (reservation) fee, and any Starter, Growth, or Pro subscription payment, whether billed monthly or paid upfront for multiple months — are final and non-refundable once processed and verified.

We take this position because, unlike a physical product, what you're paying for starts working the moment your payment clears: your listing activates, your business becomes visible to couples searching in your city, and you become eligible to receive leads. Once that access is granted, we can't take it back the way a retailer takes back an unopened box — so we don't charge for a promise, and we don't refund for a service already delivered.

This is standard practice for digital marketplaces and subscription services, and it's what keeps our pricing simple and the same for every vendor. The one exception is a genuine billing error on our end — see Billing Errors below. If we made the mistake, we fix it.

03 Examples of Non-Refundable Situations

To make this concrete, here's what does not qualify for a refund under this policy:

None of this limits your rights if we fail to deliver the core service altogether — for example, an extended platform outage that genuinely kept your listing from going live. That's a service failure, not a change of mind, and we'll review it on a case-by-case basis if you contact us.

04 Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your Starter, Growth, or Pro subscription at any time by emailing hello@weddingbharat.com — no phone tree, no retention pitch, just tell us you want to stop.

Today, subscriptions are billed manually via UPI rather than auto-renewed on a saved card, so in practice, cancelling means simply not renewing when your current paid period ends — nothing is charged without you actively completing a new payment. If we introduce automatic recurring billing in the future, this section will be updated, and you'll still always be able to cancel future billing with one email, effective at the end of your current paid period.

Cancelling doesn't refund any part of the period you've already paid for — per the No Refund Policy above, your listing and lead delivery continue until that paid period ends.

What happens after you stop paying: we won't delete your listing outright. It moves to a minimal, lower-visibility tier — still listed and discoverable, just without active lead delivery or priority placement — so you have an easy way back in for your next busy season instead of starting from zero.

05 Billing Errors

A billing error is different from a change of mind — it means something went wrong on our end, such as:

If any of this happens, email hello@weddingbharat.com within 30 days of the charge with your registered business name and the UPI transaction reference (UTR) or a payment screenshot. We'll review it and, if confirmed, correct or refund the error to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Nothing in this policy limits any right you already have to dispute a charge directly with your bank or UPI provider — we'd just always rather hear from you first so we can fix it directly, and faster.

06 Compliance

This policy is written to comply with Indian consumer protection law — including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 — and with standard practice for online marketplaces operating in India.

In line with those rules, we:
